Welcome to your Level 1 Mental Health in the Workplace course. The course begins with a short overview and introduction to our expert, and you will learn how to recognise mental ill health and the correct definitions and terminology.

Now we have introduced you, we will look at the early signs and symptoms of mental ill-health and the stereotyping and discrimination that can occur, as well as who can be affected by mental ill-health.

Stress and Anxiety can affect our Mental Health, this section explains what stress is, its causes, and explains anxiety.

There are different types of Mental Ill Health, this section explains some of the most common, and looks at each one in more depth.

In this section, you will learn how to recognise changes in an employee and how to approach them to offer support. We will look at how to support an employee back to work, following a mental ill health-related absence, and the importance of confidentiality.

Signposting is directing someone to the best source of help, in this section, you will learn how to do that and see some examples of signposting organisations.

In summary, we give information on how to take your final test and print your certificate of completion.
